2. Personal Data Processed for Dental Care

For the purpose of providing dental care, we process the following personal data:

  • Name and surname
  • Date of birth
  • Address of permanent residence
  • Health insurance company
  • Medical history and health status
  • Contact details (phone number, e-mail address)

Legal basis: Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (provision of dental care) and compliance with legal obligations under Act No. 576/2004 Coll. on Health Care and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on Personal Data Protection.

Retention period: Medical documentation is retained for 20 years from the last treatment, in accordance with applicable legislation.

3. Personal Data Processed for Direct Marketing

With your consent, we process the following data for direct marketing purposes (reminders about appointments, promotional offers):

  • Name and surname
  • E-mail address
  • Phone number

Legal basis: Your freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent (Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR).

Retention period: Until you withdraw your consent, or for a maximum of 3 years from the date of consent.

4. Sharing Personal Data

Your personal data may be shared with the following recipients:

  • Health insurance companies (as required by law)
  • Laboratories and specialists involved in your treatment
  • IT service providers and software suppliers (processors under data processing agreements)
  • Accounting and legal advisors (where necessary)

We do not transfer your personal data to third countries outside the EU/EEA.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. After the retention period expires, your data is securely deleted or anonymised.

Under GDPR and Slovak law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access – You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification – You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure – You can request deletion of your data where there is no legitimate reason for us to continue processing it.
  • Right to restriction of processing – You can request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability – You can request that we transfer your data to you or another controller in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object – You can object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
